Since opening our second lagoon in Cambridge we have fallen in love with the winding streets and cozy pubs along the banks of River Cam.
From Kings College to the Bridge of Sighs, St Johns to Trinity, we are proud to be offering eco laundry in such a prestigious university city.
Our state-of-the-art laundry and dry cleaning facilities in Cambridge are designed to give you the best laundry service possible. We use the newest, best equipment together with our software we ensure that your items will be washed in the most hygienic and sustainable way possible. This includes using chlorine, phosphate and sulphate-free detergents, which isn’t just kinder to the planet, but also your skin.
Your items will travel on an electric, zero emissions cargo bike, reducing air pollution and congestion whilst ensuring we're on time, every time.
Your items are inspected individually by hand and gently cleaned with state-of-the art equipment and our highly trained team here at Oxwash. You can find out more about our world-class hygiene and technology here.
We're working on reducing our water, energy and detergent consumption. In our London Lagoon our machines weigh your items and calculate the minimum consumption of overheads required to clean your load. This minimises excess water and energy consumption by 65%!
We're minimising plastic use across our service by fitting microfibre filters, using recycled cardboard hangers, wooden garment pegs and laundry bags-for-life. We won't stop implementing changes until we're plastic-free.
Born and raised in Cambridge, barring a stint in Manchester studying Film at university, Toby knows the streets like the back of his hand. He will often be found cruising along the river Cam or weaving Woody, his trusty E-Steed, through the historic streets, delivering to the colleges, or one of the many local independent eateries with a smile on his face.
After successfully running laundries in two care homes and ensuring excellent service for the residents, Jacob has come away from care and has now taken on hospitality as his next adventure. Jacob is thrilled to be joining Oxwash as Cambridge Process Manager.
Jeremy has travelled extensively and still likes to move around. With a background in many an aspect of the frayed hems of fringe theatre, film poetry and music making. Working for Oxwash crystallizes, motivates and instantiates Jeremy’s concerns for the environments, fairnesses and transparencies in the working world, combined with the joy of travelling about and taking care of people’s laundry. Small details are essential. Big care is fundamental. Wash not waste.
