The OXWASH Team
Kyle C Grant
Kyle co-founded OXWASH in 2017 with the current chairman Dr Aron Ping D'Souza and is our CEO.
With a background as a research scientist at NASA and a DPhil in Synthetic Biology from the University of Oxford, Kyle is leading the team with an engineering rationale.
Kyle drives the innovation and sustainability focus of OXWASH.
Kyle aims to ensure growth and development of OXWASH whilst maintaining excellent customer satisfaction without sacrificing our core sustainability values.
"Truly sustainable laundry isn't rocket science!"
Aron Ping D'Souza
Aron is the current Chairman and cofounder of OXWASH. Kyle and Aron have worked together for many years in successful fundraising, sporting events and philanthropic ventures.
With a background in billion-dollar asset management and in venture capital, Aron is central to the financial management and long term vision of OXWASH.
Dr D’Souza read law at the University of Oxford and was a member of Harris Manchester College.
Aron is an avid athlete and a keen believer in the importance of sport. He played rugby for Wadham College, where he wore the number 14 jersey and is currently the team’s Honorary Chairman.
Zara 'Queen' French
Zara is our incredible ops manager and has a background in growing integrated process and logistics startups. With an eye for detail and for the wellbeing of our team, Zara is invaluable to the overall operations of OXWASH.
Hailing from a family with incredible industry experience, Zara is bringing a wealth of knowledge of the linen industry as well as an incredible appetite to learn.
When not at the helm of our team, Zara can be found volunteering at her local Girl-guides, trying her hand on the ski slopes or with her family.
Joe 'The Guru' Haddock
Joe manages the day-to-day logistics of OXWASH making sure that every laundry exchange is on time and every item is clean and ready to wear.
As a narrowboat resident, Joe uses OXWASH every week himself and keeps a very close eye on our quality and commitment to sustainability.
Coming from a background in national logistics and operations, Joe is a huge asset to our team and brings a wealth of local knowledge being born and raised locally.
Jamie 'Speedy' Qualter
Customer Service Manager
Jamie is a super-star OXWASH rider as well as our customer experience manager, making sure every one of our customers receives the best possible experience.
He's been known to stretch our boundaries and successfully process everything from teddy bears to touring theatre troupe costumes!
Jamie has expertise ranging from cycle couriering to county-wide customer service and will make sure that your every requirement is met where possible.
Ben 'Tall' Towler
Ben is our resident artist and amazing commercial manager. Managing the acquisition and service to our many fantastic commercial clients is no mean feat but Ben has taken it in his stride.
Educated at the Central St Martins School of Art, Ben brings a novel creative skillset to our processes, marketing and overall vision for sustainability.
Often spotted on Wilhelm, the largest of our fleet of electric laundry wagons (bikes), Ben has a passion for cycling that goes beyond OXWASH. At weekends you can spot him as a blue blur out on his vintage Bianci.
Tom 'Rusty' de Wilton
The newest member of the team, our COO Tom is responsible for mapping out OXWASH's future, as well as the nuts and bolts of our day-to-day operations.
Tom is OXWASH's resident engineer, and applies his expertise daily to challenges ranging from fitting out our new processing plant and putting up shelves to testing prototype cargo bikes and building our watertight back-end software.
Tom is also in charge of our ongoing collaboration with Deliveroo, which he hopes will revolutionise the use of single-use plastics in the restaurant business. He dreams of one day riding his flax-fibre quadricycle on the road without being arrested or falling over.
Khush 'The Coach' James
Operations and Marketing Executive
Happiest on his bike and with an encyclopaedic mental map of Oxford's potholes, Khush rides every day for OXWASH. He is the current holder of the Urban Arrow world speed record, but has shunned this year's Tour de France in favour of making sure that our cargo bike operations run like clockwork.
At OXWASH we believe that promoting our ethos of environmentalism in the laundry industry, transport, and beyond is as important globally as our operations are locally, so between rides Khush's fingers dance over the keyboard as he runs our social media and marketing operations.
