We believe laundry and dry cleaning shouldn't cost the Earth

Clinically clean. Space-age washing.

Water reclaimed from a previous wash cycle is used again for the next cycle. This saves up to 60% of the water consumption versus a typical commercial washing machine.
Microfibre filtration of the reclaimed water captures more than 95% of all the fibres shed during washing. This process prevents plastic pollution of our waterways and drinking water.
Disinfection and sanitisation of the washing is performed using ozone. Generated using electricity and oxygen from the air we breathe, ozone is a powerful disinfecting substrance.
Automated and variable dosing of biodegradable detergent chemistry prevents surplus chemical usage. Chemical disinfectants increase the hygiene of the wash cycles and prevent colour running.

A typical load of laundry that you wash at home or other services process for you:

uses 80L of water
releases 3.5kg of CO2
to the atmosphere
adds 1,500,000 microfibres
to the environment

Oxwash is re-engineering the laundry process

We are re-engineering the laundry process from the ground up; our aim is for clinically-clean, net zero carbon emissions for the whole process, from collection, through washing and back to delivery.
This has never been accomplished and we are determined to be the first truly sustainable and hygienic on-demand laundry company in the world.

Where have we been?

Oxwash was founded in 2017 by Dr Kyle Grant, born out of frustration from the perpetually broken washing machines in his college laundry.

Armed with just a bike and a backpack, Kyle started collecting and washing clothes for fellow students, this quickly snowballed into a growing on demand laundry business as interest grew.

Oxwash is now fully operational in Oxford with an ever growing team and we are very proud of our shiny new state of the art laundry facility. Next...The rest of the World!

Where are we going?

Oxwash is excited to grow into new cities, new countries and wash new things, we are proudly venture-backed and rapidly iterating our technology along with our exceptional partners.

We are developing a modular and rapidly scalable model that we will deploy into new cities across the UK as well as to other countries.

Our goal is to eradicate the impact of washing on the world's ecosystems whilst developing the ultimate in cleanliness and finish. We are determined to lead the charge and prove a closed-loop washing process and service is possible.
